  • Know assessment bias exists- become sensitive to it.
  • Use absence-of-bias as one of the criteria that you evaluate your own and others' assessments with.
  • Have a reliable colleague evaluate your assessments.
  • Consider using assessment accommodations with students with disabilities and ELL students.
